Our certified staff attended their last day of orientation today. They learned all about our curriculum, instruction, and special programs. Thank you to our instructional coaches and coordinators for leading this professional development.
Tonight is Mokena Intermediate's "Parent Information Night" from 6-7PM! We hope to see many of our parents and guardians at this event!
Today our new certified staff members spent the morning with their school administrators as our new mentors received training. Then our new staff and mentors came together for our annual "Marigolds Luncheon" and an afternoon of collaboration within the schools! Thank you to our mentors for providing this vital support to our new staff members as they begin their careers here in Mokena SD 159!

Your generousity, appreciation, and warm welcome was defintely felt by our new staff members today. We are very fortunate to be a part of such a supportive community!
Today we welcomed all of our new staff to the district! We enjoyed a full day together learning about the district, touring the district boundaries and schools on a big yellow limousine, and getting technology and our web based programs ready to go! It was an eventful first day and we are looking forward to even more tomorrow!

Our Building Leadership Teams were hard at work today analyzing data, reflecting on last school year, and constructing School Improvement Plans for the upcoming school year! Thank you to our teachers and principals on these committees for their efforts in continuing to improve and strengthen what we do in our schools for our students and staff.

Thank you to our substitute teachers and substitute paraprofessionals for coming out to today's Substitute Orientation! It was wonderful to see so many returning substitutes and meet our new substitutes. We could not do the work we do each day without these dedicated and caring staff members who ensure our students continue to learn and grow when our teachers and paraprofessionals cannot be in the classroom.
