Mokena Junior High hosted the Illinois Grade School Music Association's Solo and Ensemble Contest today. Congratulations to the many Mokena musicians who impressed the judges with their talents! Some of our 4th graders visited our 3rd graders to share their "Choose Your Own Adventure" books that they wrote. 4th graders authored a story about an animal they researched that was trying to protect itself from a predator using two different defense mechanisms. The 3rd graders choose which defense mechanism to continue the story with to see what the ending would be!
