We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Luke Munch has been named the Assistant Principal of the Year by the Illinois Principals Association, Three Rivers Region!
Mr. Munch has been a dedicated and influential leader at Mokena Junior High School for the past six years, where his passion for education, commitment to excellence, and unwavering support for students and staff have made a lasting impact. His leadership exemplifies the very best in educational administration, and this well-deserved recognition highlights his outstanding contributions to the Mokena school community. Mr. Munch will represent our region as he will now be advanced into the pool for the Illinois Principal Associations state finalist for Assistant Principal of the Year.

The junior high hosted a fantastic holiday celebration for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders this morning! There were performances by the bands, orchestras, choir and poms as well as a sing-a-long. We even had a visit from a special someone from the North Pole!

We celebrated our 5th graders' D.A.R.E. program graduation today! It was wonderful to see so many parents and community members present to support our students. Thank you to Officer Tom and the Mokena Police Department for your continued partnership with the program.
