As you may be aware, the school district has begun searching for a superintendent to take office on July 1, 2025. In the next few weeks, the board of education will begin interviewing candidates and is seeking interested parents and community members to participate in a portion of the interview process.
On the evening of December 11, the board will host a series of interviews with three candidates which will include an opportunity for teachers, staff, parents, and community members to be part of the process. We are seeking 6 parents who currently have students in District 159 schools and 6 community members who do not have students in District 159 schools to participate in this interview.
If you are interested, please fill out the Google form found below. The Google link will be available until December 2 at 9:00 a.m. Persons selected as one of the 6 parents or 6 community participants will be notified, as well as anyone who was not selected. After the December 11 interviews, the Board of Education will then interview two final candidates to determine the finalist.
Thank you for your interest as the board moves forward with this important decision.

This week, they applied their knowledge about the goal setting process through a challenge to see how many cups each group could stack by only using rubber bands and string, not their hands! Each group set a 10 minute goal, created an action plan, checked their progress midway through, and reflected on how things went.
